She finally made it! This was a very special custom order that I made almost a year and half ago. It was meant to go on a long awaited trip to Santorini. Her trip was pushed back, but she was finally able to go. She shared these great photos of her customized journal to carry her adventures in as well as the matching passport cover. I hope her trip was even more wonderful than she imagined!

I’m taking a slow morning and regrouping after a super hot weekend. I need to unload the car, answer emails, start back in the studio, etc. But first, I’m feeling the breeze, listening to the birds, and am feeling grateful for all the people who show up for each other…friends, co-workers, acquaintances, strangers, tiny teachers, and more. It was great getting to connect and reconnect with so many of you over the weekend. Thanks to everyone who braved the heat and big thanks to all the volunteers and people who put on @talbotstreetartfair for taking such good care of us. @mulberryandlimeofficial just replenished their journals, sketchbooks, and leather bags! They have a wide variety available to accompany you on an upcoming trip or be a wonderful hostess gift. It was fun relaxing on their back porch watching what they were drawn to as they decided what their customers would like most. They thoughtfully curate their whole shop for an elevated shopping experience. If you are near Lexington, be sure to check them out!

I always appreciate when another artist wants one of my pieces. Teresa from @workerbeesewingco had two requests: 1) the softest leather I had and 2)the latch closure. We’re open at @summerfaircincinnati! It’s a little drizzly today, but we are open and dry under our tents. The next couple of days should be beautiful. We are open Friday until 7pm, Saturday 10-7pm, and Sunday 10-5pm. My booth is 5N near the end of the Purple Parkway.

It’s hard to believe that it’s already the end of May and with that comes @summerfaircincinnati! The studio is bustling as I’m getting ready to head to Cincinnati this weekend. We’ll be open at Summerfair on Friday 12-7, Saturday 10-7, and Sunday 10-5. I’ll be in booth 5N on the Purple Parkway (my usual spot). See you soon, Cinncinati!

It’s a beautiful weekend for Mayfest at Gratz Park in Lexington, KY! We will be open Saturday until 6pm and Sunday 11-5pm. There is music, food, activities for kids, and some wonderful local artists. I’m near the Carnegie Center on Market St. (in front of the pink house).

Thank you, @tennesseecraft! The weather wasn’t the easiest to deal with, but thank you to everyone who came out in spite of it. The staff and volunteers were amazing as always, and the other artists’ support and friendship is invaluable, especially when navigating wind, rain, and winter temps in May. Today is set-up day for The Kentucky Crafted Market! I wanted to show you these two special journals that I will have available this weekend. It all started with Kim, the owner of @zigzaggallery in Centerville, OH, and her mother. I’ve been selling my work in Kim’s gallery for a long time, and we’ve also worked on a couple special projects over the years. She and her mom had these two pairs of boots that they did not wear anymore, but did not want to throw away. She asked if she could just send them to me to use however I wanted. I finally had a chance to cut them down and see how much of the leather I could actually use. It took one pair of boots to make a journal, but I was able to incorporate some of the original belts and features that made the boots unique. Here is a full view look at my new quilted crossbody totes! I created these from leather furniture samples, and there were not many duplicates of colors. That means, each side of every bag is a bit different, making them that much more unique and one-of-a-kind. Because I have a limited amount of these leather remnants, this exact design line will be a small batch. Each leather purse has two totes straps, an adjustable crossbody strap, an inside pocket, and a magnetic snap closure. I’ll be debuting these this weekend at The Kentucky Crafted Market.
